Welcome to another episode of Sounding Out The City...
This week, I'm pleased to present an all funk and soul 45 mix by special guest DJ Double K of Parkdale Funk.

You're about to hear rare records that the man from Toronto has picked up over time by spending countless hours excavating from thrift shops, yard sales, record stores and ebay--to say nothing of the hard cash he's dropped in the process.
He's condensed some of his terrific finds into a 1 hour mix for this podcast, which is split into 2 parts.
Check it out, and send the man some love via the link to his site on the right of this page.

I started out making mixes for myself to listen to during drives and subway rides. Somewhere along the way, I thought other people might enjoy the music in the mixes as much as I do, so I began posting them.
My wish is simply to share what I consider to be really good yet seldom heard music with others.
You'll hear 30 minute mixes that incorporate rare grooves from the past along with the modern sounds of today, and a dash of various flavours--from latin jazz, to disco, to classic rock, to sample-based beat oriented styles and beyond.
Please leave a comment if you like what you are hearing and share this podcast with others.
