Welcome to another episode of Sounding Out The City...
This week, we get straight into some hiphop by the likes of J-Live and the Crown City Rockers before things get shook up with some Bollywood beats and John Klemmer's classic Free Soul.
Next up is DJ Spinna's cut 'n paste job of the Stone Alliance's neck-breaker Sweetie Pie, some downtempo bits and a dubby hiphop track from the GAMM label.
We get into some rare business by Joe McPhee and Olli Ahvenlahti before turning up some 60s go-go versions of jazz classics Comin Home Baby and Feeling Good.
We finish up with a brilliant Quantic production, a lush french library groover by Phillipe Sarde, and a dope afro-funk track by the Kelenkye Band.

My Profile
Driftwood
I started out making mixes for myself to listen to during drives and subway rides. Somewhere along the way, I thought other people might enjoy the music in the mixes as much as I do, so I began posting them.
My wish is simply to share what I consider to be really good yet seldom heard music with others.
You'll hear 30 minute mixes that incorporate rare grooves from the past along with the modern sounds of today, and a dash of various flavours--from latin jazz, to disco, to classic rock, to sample-based beat oriented styles and beyond.
Please leave a comment if you like what you are hearing and share this podcast with others.
